USANA – FDA Approved!
USANA’s in-house facility has gained Drug Establishment Registration with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Operating an FDA-registered facility brings with it an increased amount of scrutiny. While other companies are required to follow the FDA’s less stringent nutritional supplement standards, USANA’s facilities can and will be inspected by the FDA under pharmaceutical uidelines—the FDA’s highest possible standard for manufacturers. Every step of the manufacturing process—from the handling of raw materials to tableting—will now be required to comply with these strict guidelines.
USANA has been voluntarily adhering to these exacting standards for years. Our compliance with pharmaceutical-grade Good manufacturing Practices (GMPs) means no changes will need to be made to the manufacturing processes in order to comply with the increased FDA scrutiny. The new Drug Establishment Registration simply makes official something Associates and customers have always known.
